His performance on the night earned him rapturous applause and needless to say, countless votes from the audience.

That event was held at Rooty Hill RSL Club, the same venue he returns to on the occasional  Thursday night to the delight of local fans.

Luke first appeared on the country scene with his band Medicine Wheel in 2002.

With their first single, No Day Like Today, they were signed to ABC/Universal Music and were 2003 Gold Guitar finalists.

In 2010 Luke can boast having released three quality albums, the most recent, Prodigal Son, earning him high praise from both fans and industry folk.

Songs like Pride Of Erin, How Well Have You Loved and the title track are now staples of his live show. He is without doubt one of the most respected performers currently doing the rounds.
