In the five years since she released her debut single, Jasmine Rae has become one of the most acclaimed artists in Australian country music today.
Local King of Country, Lee Kernaghan, described Jasmine as, "the hottest new artist to come out of Australia in a long time".
The singer/songwriter and 2012 CMC Oz Artist of the Year has proved herself a unique and compelling voice in contemporary music, with her Nashville-recorded first two albums Look It Up and Listen Here both receiving ARIA Nominations and spawning numerous hit singles and videos, including number #1’s, ‘Hunky Country Boys’, ‘I Faked It’ and ‘Look It Up’. Jasmine has already earned the endorsement of some of the world's biggest country acts. Iconic US country star Alan Jackson personally selected her as his special guest for his sold-out Australian tour in 2011.
US superstar Joe Nichols was so impressed by Jasmine that he recorded a duet with her – the soulful ballad ‘I’ll Try Anything’, which went to #1 on both the Australian Country Radio and Music Video charts. She has also toured with Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Lee Kernaghan and Adam Harvey. Jasmine Rae was the first locally based country artist to achieve one million song plays on Myspace. She now also has over one million music video plays on Youtube, including over a quarter of a million for her #1 hit single, ‘Look It Up’. These are big numbers for an Australian country music artist.
Now fresh from recording her third studio album in Nashville with Producer, Luke Wooten (Dierks Bentley, Kellie Pickler), and receiving this year’s prestigious CMA Global Artist Award, Jasmine’s star is set to shine even brighter as she looks forward to a massive 2013.
